Whole berries of Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne fermented in terra cotta amphora for 23 days - skins and all!!
This "amber wine" (aka orange - but not to be confused with wine from Orange) is definitely something out of the ordinary.
The Viognier gives fruit and perfume while the Marsanne lends it's waxy texture and the Roussanne gives a hint of savouriness.
This wine is bottled un-fined and un-filtered so a little bit of sediment is both likely and intentional. (Kinda like a Coopers Ale!!)
Unusual, confronting and a little left of the middle.
La Petite Mort (LPM) is the home of our 'other' wines. These small batch, experimental wines are produced with minimal wine making intervention and put into bottle without filtering or fining to allow the raw essence of our experimentation to shine through. Rustic and characterful, LPM wines promise a unique sensory experience and a story behind every label.
